Scholarship Funds

This scholarship was established by the Bentz family to provide educational support for qualified students graduating from Jennings County High School.

This scholarship was established to support exemplary individuals who graduate from Jennings County High School and who attended Hayden Elementary School.

This scholarship was created in memory of Bob & Joan who were residents of Jennings County. Bob retired after 20 years of service in the army, and Joan worked in the banking industry for 23 years.

This scholarship was created in memory of Bob & Josie Struben by the New Bethel United Methodist Church. This scholarship will be awarded to a student who has participated in 4-H or FFA.

This scholarship was created in memory of Burlin and Viola King to provide scholarships for qualified students graduating from Jennings County High School. 

This scholarship was created by the Boardman family in memory of Cecil Boardman to be awarded to a student graduation from Jennings County High School.

This scholarship was established in 2007 in memory of Chad Earnhart who lost his life in an accident. This scholarship is for qualified students who are pursuing a degree in engineering science.

This scholarship was created in memory of Chick Helm by his family to provide scholarships to deserving seniors of Jennings County High School who are furthering their education in the field of music.

This scholarship was created by Gayle Mills Hughes in memory of Dennis Mills to provide scholarships for qualified students in Jennings County who have been accepted to an institution of higher learning.

This scholarship was established by the family of Donald Hearne to honor his retirement from teaching. Its purpose is to provide support for students pursuing higher education.

This scholarship is awarded in loving memory of Donnie Ellerbrook who had a passion for sports and valued higher education. He was a Jennings County High School Alum and held the pole vault record from 1975 - 1999 

This scholarship was established by the Byford family in memory of Donovan Howard who was a teacher and golf coach for 30 years at JCHS. This scholarship is awarded to graduates who have participated in JCHS golf

This scholarship was established by the parents of Ethan Reynolds to provide support for a graduating senior whose achievements and goals exemplify courage in overcoming adversity.

The purpose of this scholarship is to provide support to graduating seniors from the Jennings County School Corporation. Preference given to a female pursuing a career in STEM.

This scholarship was created in memory of Frances Hicks by her family to provide scholarships for qualified students graduating from Jennings County High School.

This scholarship was created by Martha Green in memory of Frank and Amanda Carlock. The scholarship will be awarded to a graduate of Jennings County High School who is likely to succeed in their studies.

This scholarship was established in memory of Jake Hammond for students who are graduating high school seniors at JCHS and are planning on pursuing a degree within the mental health field.

This scholarship was created in memory of Jan Ludwig by her husband to provide scholarships for students pursuing a degree in education with preference to students specializing in working with individuals with disabilities.

The Janie Russell Legacy Scholarship was created to honor Janie’s lifelong dedication to her students and her extraordinary career at Graham Creek Elementary, where she taught and inspired children for

over 40 years. 

This fund was established to provide scholarships to deserving Jennings County High

 School graduates who have a parent or guardian that is a member of Indiana Farm Bureau.

This scholarship was created in memory of Ed Wessel to provide scholarships for students related to a member of Jennings Water Cooperative or are a resident served by Jennings Water.

This fund was established to honor the memory of North Vernon High School graduates Jerry and Joe Goss by their sister Jane Hand. The recipient must be involved in Band or Orchestra.

This fund was established in memory of Jerry Earl by his family to provide a scholarship for students who are intending to major in education and are enrolled at Indiana University.

The purpose of this scholarship is to help students who are residents of Jennings County and graduates from JCHS who are admitted for full time study at a college, university, technical or trade school.

This scholarship was established in memory of Lance Green by his mother, Leta Green. This scholarship will be awarded to a graduate of Jennings County High School who is furthering their education at a college or university.

This fund was established by the family of Les Carson in his memory to provide scholarships for qualified students or residents who are pursuing studies in animal science.

This fund was established by Ray and Casey Mason in memory of Logan Mason for a Jenings County High School student who is a cancer survivor or patient or student with medical issues.

The purpose of this fund shall be to provide a renewable scholarship to a qualified Jennings County High School graduate for a period of up to four years majoring in any field of engineering.

The purpose of this scholarship is to provide support to a second year or above college student who attends a university in Indiana. 

This scholarship was created to provide support to a JCHS graduate who is an athlete and who has participated in track and/ or cross country for two years and has been accepted to an institution of higher learning.

This fund was established in memory of Martha Vogel by her parents to provide scholarships for qualified students who attended Hayden Elementary School and who are admitted into a college or trade school.

This fund was established in memory of Morgan Gibson, by a fellow classmate, to provide a scholarship for qualified students who have participated in Pantherettes Dance Team or Jennings County fast pitch softball.

This scholarship was established in memory of Morgan Wright. This scholarship will be awarded to a graduate of JCHS who is pursuing a degree in nursing and is a fast pitch softball athlete.

This scholarship was established to provide support for students who have graduated from Jennings County High School and are accepted into and attend an accredited institution of higher learning.

This fund was established by the North Vernon Elementary PTO and William D. Burnett to provide scholarships for students who are accepted into and attend an institution of higher learning.
